L'esplanade

Lifts are located at either end of the shopping centre.

Sunny side:

• The left-hand lift links both levels of the centre with the 3 levels of the car park.
• The right-hand lift only links the lower level of the centre with the 3 levels of the car park.
• Tip: if you want to go straight to the top level of the centre, when you call the lift just press button “2” and the left-hand lift will arrive.

Moon side :

•To go from the top level of the shopping centre to the lower level on the Place de l’Accueil side, take the Place de l’Accueil lift (next to Casa Pizza Grill), which will take you down to ground floor level and, as you come out, the entrance to the centre is on the left of the lift between the stores “HEMA” and “CASA”.
• The same lift will also take you down to the 3 levels of the car park.
• Tip: When the centre is closed and you want to go back to your vehicle in the Accueil car park, you can reach it using this lift.

An area where you can breast-feed or bottle-feed in peace.

If you would like to be in a secluded area to breast-feed or bottle-feed your child in a calmer environment, an area with comfortable chairs is available behind the toilet facilities.

If you are in the shopping centre and you need to go to a shop on Rue Charlemagne when it has started to rain, don’t worry.

Go to the information desk on the ground floor of the shopping centre and in exchange for providing your identity card you can borrow an umbrella to give you the chance to do your shopping out of the rain.

Baby changing facilities are provided at the toilet facilities on the top level sun side at L’esplanade.

If you have forgotten the nappies, ask the attendant who will provide you with a nappy in your child’s size for free.

Men’s, women’s and children’s toilets are provided on the sunny side of the top level of the shopping centre, indicated with arrows from inside the centre itself.

Using the facilities costs € 0.30

Rest areas are dotted about the centre for you to sit down, rest and have a break.

A wheelchair for disabled people is available for borrowing at L’esplanade in exchange for handing in your ID card during the wheelchair loan period.

You can also reserve the wheelchair for a specific day and number of hours. Just call +32 (0)10 230 121 to reserve with our attendant.

If you overestimate your child’s capacity to follow you around the shops quietly, and you didn’t bring the pushchair, don’t worry!

Go to the information desk under the main staircase and in exchange for providing your ID card you can borrow a pushchair so that you can finish your shopping in peace and let your little angel get some rest.

The information desk is at the centre of all our services.

You can find it on the ground floor of the shopping centre, under the main staircase. An attendant is available throughout the centre’s opening hours.

This is where telephone calls are received, taxis can be called, lost property is stored and requests for loans of wheelchairs or children’s pushchairs can be made.

It also houses the suggestion box, the entry boxes for the quiz games, information on all the shops at L’esplanade etc.

The ATM is located on the ground floor of the shopping centre near the information desk under the main staircase.

The covered, secure Accueil car park is located directly underneath the shopping centre.

The Grand Place car park gives you access to the Grand Place and the Rue Charlemagne car park, if you want to reach Rue Charlemagne.

In addition, the car parks have illuminated signposting which is very useful for indicating free spaces immediately.

The Louvain-la-Neuve car parks, including the Accueil car park under the shopping centre, are managed separately from the centre by Gespark, which can be contacted at www.llnparking.be or on +32 (0)10 887 450.

The car parks have spaces reserved for disabled people.

The Louvain-la-Neuve railway station is located 200 metres from the entrance to L’esplanade on Place de l’Accueil, allowing you to do your shopping and take the train.

You can obtain timetable information from our attendant at the information desk on the ground floor of the shopping centre or at your local railway station.

Several TEC buses also stop at L’esplanade. Timetables and information are available from the information desk on the ground floor of the shopping centre.

If your mobile phone is out of battery or you don’t have a telephone and need to make an urgent call, contact our attendant at the information desk on the ground floor of the shopping centre. She will also have a universal charger for your mobile phone.
